In the 2006 federal
election, just shy of 50,000 votes were cast in
the Halifax riding. There are roughly 33,000
post-secondary students in the HRM, most of them
in the Halifax riding. Students have the power to
control this vote AND to make Halifax a national
voice for education. If they vote, our students
will control the outcome of this riding.
A recent poll of Dalhousie students revealed that the majority believe Elizabeth May fared the best during Thursday's English-language leaders' debate. The Ottawa Citizen wrote that May, "proved that she belonged at the table all along." Congratulations Elizabeth!
